The Great Whiskey Competition

Irish, Scottish and American pride on the line as Calaveras Celtic Festival attendees are asked to settle question of whose whiskey is best.

The 17th annual Calaveras Celtic Festival hosts a whiskey tasting competition March 15-16 (Saturday & Sunday), 2003. Attendees will taste 10 types of unmarked whiskey and be asked once and for all which is best. Entrees include Irish whiskey, single malt scotches from Scotland, bourbon from the United States and other international entrees. National pride will be on the line in this friendly & fun competition in Angels Camp, CA.
INSERT FESTIVAL OVERVIEW

The cost to enter the tasting competition is $20, plus festival ticket ($12 in advance / $15 at the door). Participants must be 21 years or more. The $20 competition includes samples of ten types of whiskey and a commemorative whiskey tasting glass. Taking a break between samples to enjoy the faire is encouraged and voting cards will be kept in the tasting tent. Based on completed tasting forms, a Leader Board will display the highest rated whiskeys throughout the festival.
